Job Services

Whether you have never worked, are unemployed or are employed and looking for better opportunities; WorkOne Centers have a number of services to help you get the job you seek.

We cannot legally guarantee that you will find a job. The decision to hire is always the employers'. What we can do is provide you with job leads and teach you the skills you will need to write a resume and cover letter, how to dress appropriately, how to ace an interview and follow up afterwards. We can also teach you skills that will help you keep your job and increase your chances of advancement.

The first step is registering for employment through the State of Indiana's Customer Self Service System or CS3. You can do this here, at any one of the WorkOne Centers. Once you are registered, the Job Matching System can match you to jobs that are currently available. Staff will notify you if there is a match or you can check for yourself online. You can also search through America's Job Bank. This is a nationwide system, but you can search for local jobs or jobs in any area where you might want to relocate.

Through the Information Resource Area at each Center, you can use other sources of job leads such as area newspapers, job fairs, postings and computer job matching services such as Monster.com. You can type resumes and cover letters using our computers, call employers, get copies of your resume and cover letters made, or fax them in respose to job openings that request a fax.
